Rugeley family of Dunton Hall, Curdworth, Sutton Coldfield
« on: Wednesday 21 February 18 17:23 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

I'm doing family research on the family and descendants of Sir Rowland Rugeley and his wife Lettice Knollys who lived at Dunton Hall, Curdworth, Sutton Coldfield. If anyone has access to the Curdworth parish records and could extract and send me the Rugeley baptisms, marriages and burials during the period from about 1600 to about 1750-60 I'd be very grateful. I don't have access to these records.

Many thanks, Craig

You're in luck - Ancestry has a free weekend this coming weekend - and Curdworth parish records from 1653 form part of this collection.

I can see 11 entries for Rugeley  ;)

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

I see you are located in Edinburgh, there is a Latter Day Saints family history centre nearby where you could hire the film for the parish and do your own research, I know that is what I would be doing  ;D

Search for "google books the histories and antiquities of Shenstone printed 1794 J Nichols"

The search will deliver a number of hits - at least one of them is "searchable" by the key "rowland rugeley" (sorry I can't deliver the URL).
