hi trying to trace information on james gallogley married alice martin about the 1820s came to scotland about 1840s possible not spelt this way

As you don't appear to know which county they come from the only thing to do is check them all

Not all parishes will have records to the 1820s.
You could try narrowing the search area down by using the search on Ancestry but without a sub it will only narrow down to county not parish

It is usual when you don't know the county to make one post in Ireland General, but please don't do that now as you already have several threads but if you find yourself in this position again it's worth keeping in mind.

yes they are
