It appears to be a district in Central Southampton?

I don't see that on any maps  :-\

If indeed it does say Queensland I'd think it's more likely to be Queensland Australia  :-\

Curious Fox (online gazetteer) has a Queensland in Hampshire within 5 miles of Southampton and has it identified on an OS map.

Pheno

There are indeed some newspaper entries in the 1890s for "Queensland, Southampton"
"SOUTHAMPTON NEWS." Southampton Herald, 25 Jan. 1890, p. 8.

I stand corrected  ;D Still can't find it on a map, though.

The question remains, however, did the reference on the attestation paper refer to Queensland Southampton, or Queensland Australia?

Since the word 'Queensland' is given in isolation I would say it is the Australia one.

Just repeating the link given earlier, which is relevant.

Some points from that thread:

George last seen in 1881 census.

His son joins the military in 1889, stating that his father's residence is 'Queensland'  :-\

His wife re-marries in 1894, stating she is a widow.

His son marries in 1907, stating that his father is deceased.

Just to add further confusion, there is of course a Southampton in Queensland, 500km west of Brisbane.

I just love proving myself wrong  ;D

and

It even shows Clovelly Road which is where the pub was  ;D
