Going strictly by the free search I have no idea who the other person at that residence is. Robine Edmonds Owen was born in 1904 Builth, Wales and my Edmonds family has no connection to Wales

I have been looking for a death for Annie's son Leonard William born 1909 Colchester. There is a death registration for a Leonard Spencer age 5 in 1915 Croydon that I am wondering about. I have been trying to match up 1910 births +/- 1 yr to the 1915 death registration. There are 3 births that I am having trouble finding a death for after 1915 and hope someone can help.
Leonard Douglas Spencer born Dec 1909 Wandsworth. 1911 census gives Tooting as place of birth.
Leonard Akenhead Spencer born Sep 1911 Pancras
Leonard James born Dec 1911 Kensington

Leonard Douglas Spencer born Tooting appears on the Royal Navy registers (1925)

Although birth date is slightly out there is only one birth reg for a Leonard J Spencer in Sept & Dec qtr 1911.   There are Railway records that could fit him

Received birth cert today for Alfred George which shows date of birth as 30 Apr 1907 Dorking which correspondes with 1979 Bristol death registration.

Birth cert for Albert John gives date of birth 8 Apr 1911 but also shows father as deceased which is incorrect. Alfred William died 22 Apr 1911. What appears to have happened is that Annie reported death of husband and birth of Albert on the same day - 24 Apr. Must have been a trying time for Annie.

I know that formal adoption did not come into effect until 1927. Prior to that  date "adoption" took place between birth parent and whoever was doing the adopting. So sometime between 1911 and 1917 Annie and Thomas Pollard must have come into contact. In 1911 Annie was living in Colchester Essex and Thomas was living in Basingstoke Hampshire which are not exactly adjacent. By early 1917 Thomas was in Trowbridge with his "adopted" son. Will probably never learn how, where and when the contact between Annie and Thomas happened but it is curious.
