Andrew Kitchen 1824-
« on: Sunday 25 February 18 10:52 GMT (UK) »

I have found Andrew Kitchen 1824- birth, his parents Henry B Kitchen 1797-1883 and Mary Drake 1806-1862, his two wives Jane Miller 1828-1958 and Matilda Ellison 1832-1893, along with his eight children.
However I cannot find Andrew's death details. He appears on the Census of 1860, 1870 and 1880.
His daughter Matilda again is the only one that I cannot find her death details.

The only glue I have found is near Memphis, Michigan:

In the 1925 "History of the East Michigan Conference of the Free Methodist Church" by Rev. M. DeVoist.  It listed the charter members of the Chapel Society.

Quotes- (pg. 154) "Under the labors of Rev. C. H. Sage... several persons...were converted..."  and, "The neighbourhood was situated about three miles distant, in a North-Easterly direction."   Which was at Lamb Rd. and Memphis Ridge (M-19).

And, "A partial list of the charter members at the Chapel were: ...Andrew Kitchen; Matilda Kitchen; Thomas Kitchen; Mary Kitchen and others."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is Matilda's Mother, also named Matilda:

Perhaps the younger Matilda and Father are both buried in the same place.

Guessed it might be - as per reply 1 - worth checking with the cemetery to see if Andrew is also there.  Perhaps Matilda would have been buried in Michigan if she died as an infant.
