Help needed with passenger list entry
« on: Sunday 25 February 18 17:47 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

Can anyone please tell me what the P.O. 4/64 means in the entry below? I get that the ship was Minnehaha but I don't think the sail took from 4/64-7/64. It was usually 3 weeks or so.

" McKinley Jane, Cashill, Carndonagh, P.O. 4/64. Minnehaha. 7/64.

Thank you.

Thanks DoireM,

What role did the post office play? Did they take bookings/payment?
