Rollasons from Eastbourne 1700 - 1800's
« on: Monday 26 February 18 10:36 GMT (UK) »
My grandfather's family came from Eastbourne, I have traced them  back to William Rollason born in 1765 in Eastbourne and married Sarah Ann Welch, any information of them or descendants would be welcome

An online tree states his baptism was at St Mary's son of William (occ Shepherd) and Sarah.  They only mention the year 1765 but state the information is from transcript of parish register

Just checked the transcript for St. Mary, Eastbourne and there is no baptism for a William Rollason/Rolleson/Rollison in 1765 in the SFHG database.

There are plenty of other churches in Eastbourne but none on the database with any baptisms as early as this.

The online tree states the information came from transcripts held at Eastbourne library  :-\
