I am trying to find some information about W.E.Jury whose occupation was "Carman".
This I know from his son John Cramp Jury's baptism & Marriage records.
I have a copy of an admission to Freedom of the city of London as a Carman, the same as his father William Jury 1766 - 1845.
I am particularly interested in his occupation "Carman"

Driver of (horse-drawn) vehicles for transporting goods. Carmen were often employed by railway companies for local deliveries and collections of goods and parcels.

Basically, a white van man, generally working for an employer rather than being self-employed. Horse-drawn, obviously, bringing a different twist to the term "multidrop" ...
