I have had a pm from Rammer, still unsure we are on to the right family.

You say "your" John Dodd was born 1848 -
Archaleus John Dodd was born 1848 -   same as the John Dodd whose death is recorded, so that does tie up, doesnt it?

You are unsure about the siblings - we have found his family so far to have:

Surely these are very close to the list of siblings names you have given?
