Philadelphia hospital in 1912
« on: Wednesday 28 February 18 16:17 GMT (UK) »
I am hoping someone can answer a question for me.

There is a death certificate on Family Search that has 12 Pleasant Retreat under the heading "former or usual address" but the next section says ward 13. Does anyone know if Pleasant Retreat was the address of the hospital?

Many thanks.

It's not that sort of ward. It's Philadelphia Ward 13 , District 0183, an administrative area. You can find the address on the census. In 1910 William Davis and family lived there.

Many thanks for that.

I am new to the American records as have only recently found out, solely due to rootschatters, that family members emigrated there.
