As far as I know TERENCE LYNCH (husband of ELLEN MCNAMARA) of their children (Mary and Terence) immigrated to Australia circa 1854.

TERENCE'S SISTER - MARY LYNCH married ANDREW LANNEN and they had 6 children. Ellen, John Joseph, James Augustine, Terence, Mary-Jane and Margaret Teresa. Ellen died at 20 months, John died in 1939, James died in 1927, Terence died in 1953, Not sure about Mary-Jane and Margaret in 1959.

The first Terence was 83 [fits your man's year of birth] and the second was 81. There are no other deaths in Vic showing the parents James & Mary McM*y.

This may well be the death of Ellen LYNCH, wife and mother of 'the other' Terence LYNCH: https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/152179315

Obit of the second Terence who died 1922, aged 81: https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/176522579

Hi and thanks so much for your help with this.

I believe it is the first Terence Lynch as it does match up more with the infomraiton I have.  Finding information on his wife Mary Barrett and his parents however has been much harder.

Again thanks so much for taking the time and trouble to help!
