Closest fit for an actual death between 1901 and 1911 is Emma Ellen Hooks, 29, Q1 of 1903 in Sheffield, 9c 368.

i know would there be any reason why her death would not be recorded thanks for the help x

In 1911, Benjamin appears to be in a lodging house in Coventry, with his surname written as Hooks. He claims to be widowed.

then ben j hucks married alice bailey nee fesey and had children

so the brother in law and sister in law got married and looked after each others kids...
when alice and ben got married it says widowed . but i am struggling to find the death of the spouses

This seems to confirm Charlie & Nellie's surviving spouses married each other

Marriages, Birmingham Q2 1901
Charley Bailey  <<<
Christopher Eurell
Alice Feasey   <<<
Elizabeth Townsend

Think Charles died 1912
