Hello,
I put the above topic on the Irish side of things, and the wonderful people of this forum found my Great Uncle!
I have put it on the USA side of things to see if any other good people can find anything else on the Brown's.
All the information start on pages 4 til 6 on the above attached topic.
If you would all prefer, I could type everything out on this post, its no problem, but it'll take me ages, but no worries if people would prefer it that way.
Your time and help are greatly appreciated

Looking on the image of the 1930 census - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHSN-3BJ - it says that Joseph was not a veteran.  That's not 100% certain, but I find those to be right more often than not.

The registration card is dated September 1918 so its doubtful he did serve.
Interesting it says if they were a veteran or not

Joseph A Brown, 33, b. 1887, Ireland.  Immigrated 1910, citizenship 1919.  Occupation: Chipper and Hanker in Ship Yard.  Father b. Ireland, Mother b. England.
Sarah Brown, wife, 32, b. Ireland.  Immigrated 1910, citizenship 1914 or 1919.
Hazel A Brown,   daughter, 9, b. New York.



Petticrew, Pettigrew, Bedigrew, and all variants.

1920 census details already posted on earlier thread (reply #42)- GGYD posted a link to that thread at start of this topic.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
