Group photo 2
« on: Saturday 03 March 18 11:24 GMT (UK) »
A second photo, this time dated April 1940. I am not sure if the marking 14700B is relevant?

Any help with identification would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Not the same unit as the other photo (no lanyards).  Mixture of former soldiers and new (some ribbons, others not). Pretty undisciplined mob, a proper unit would have all the legs in the front row properly aligned!

No guess except not artillerymen/women!

Hi noytd,

I can't offer any help with identifying the uniforms, but I notice there is a plaque on the wall, top right of your photo.  It's impossible to read on the scan, but perhaps with a magnifying glass on the original photo you may be able to read it to help identify the location.

Excellent spot, but frustratingly the photograph has not picked up what was written on it.
