My ancestor Mary Ann Plummer had an illegitimate daughter Maud bpt Jan/Feb/Mar 1861. In the 1861 census Mary Ann is living at Zion Hill, Lenton in the civil parish of Radford servant to Samuel Marples, solicitor and public notary. Maud is as follows
1861
St Mary Nottingham Holland Street
Ellen Curtis F wid 56 Lace Drawer b Westborough, Lincs
Ellen Curtis F dau 20 Lace Drawer b Nottingham
Maud Plummer F 0 nursechild b Nottingham
1871
Lambeth
Thos H Waite 27 Clerk Chemist b Boston, Lincs
Ellen Waite 27 wife b Nottingham
Ellen Curtis 66 mother in law b Westborough, Lincs
Maud Plummer 10 visitor b Nottingham
I am trying to find out who Ellen Curtis senior was. My best guess is that she is Mary Ann Plummer's maternal aunt, Eleanor Broughton b Westborough 1805, but I have been unable to find anything to substantiate this.
Any help much appreciated.
