Extract from an article entitled "What Is The Census And Why Should we Care"  - on Stuff this morning!

"Your census forms will outlive you: The Public Records Act 2005 requires census forms to be retained for 100 years, after which they may be made available for research".

100 years?? Maybe some hope for our descendants after all!!  😜

 ;D  As we impatiently await the release of the 1921 UK Census 100 years later in 2021/2022 .

1911 doesn't seem like such a long time ago to me, as I suspect many of us researching our family history feel, let alone 1921.

But wow, 2118!? 

Darn, I should have taken a screen shot of my 2018 Census, printed it out and put in into my records as a gift to the future family historian!
