John H Forsyth / Clara J M Phipps , marriage Dover 1945 ?

ev

Quite possibly. Perhaps the J is for Joan and she was known by her middle name. Not uncommon in the family.

I think the only way to be 100% sure is to purchase the marriage cert or the son's birth cert, looks as if it all fits but as always I stand to be corrected

Couldn't find a daughter though

1939 free search has this - Dover
Clara J M   Hanagan (Forsyth,Phipps)   1924
Victoria M Phipps and 2 more people are on this record
1 more person who is officially closed
(the closed record could be the Forsyth son who is probably still living)

Searching for Victoria M Phippson free search gives year of birth as 1897 plus Annie Hoy & 2 others
