Yes thanks Carole. I was just asking you for future reference. I understand he would be too young.

Actually he would be 23 so it is a feasible marriage his wife is blanked out on the 1939 census so I can't check her age but there is a death of a Sarah Ann Plimmer in 1955 year of birth c1869 registered under Rowley Regis which covers a lot of the area's around where they were living but looking at the probation on his will he had a different wife when he died

Sarah gives her place of birth as Lea Marston on the 1871 and 1891 census

Hi Willow.

I do understand he would be 23 and able to get married but he would be a lot younger and it was more likely than not he would have been a bit young for Sarah. However I know it might have happened.

Sarah was baptised in Water Orton and it gave her abode as Water Orton. Her Father was born in Lea Marston and was living there when he married in 1868.

In 1871(Griffen) and 1881 she was born Water Orton. In 1891 and 1901 she was with my Great Granddad so he may have thought she was born in Lea Marston.

If that is her in 1939 and she did die in 1955 I would have thought it would be visible as he is because he died 2 years later than her.

I have just noticed there are some Plimmers born in Wolverhampton mothers maiden name Mansell not Griffin the first in 1915. So maybe the Sarah in that marriage was a spinster.

Logically the record should be open but if they haven't matched up the death correctly they sometimes aren't

Looking at the marriages Ezekiel married Annie E(lizabeth) Jones 1953 so the Sarah he married died before then

Thanks Willow. I also saw a Sarah A Plimmer marrying someone in I think 1938 in Wolverhampton, which made me think she could have divorce him.

I now have the birth certificate for Sarah Ann Griffin and it says she was born 11/6/1869.

In 1911 she was Sarah A Mansell widow.

Now I have to find a way of searching for her in the 1939 maybe she did marry Ezekiel Plimmer in 1913 and she may have remarried in 1938 a Thomas H Hartill.

Well I have now sent for that Marriage cert. Sarah A Mansell to Ezekiel Plimmer. If I find it is my Sarah Mansell I then have to work out if she is the Sarah A Plimmer that died in 1955 reg. Rowley R. Or is she the Sarah A Plimmer that married Thomas H Hartill in 1938.
