I have the feeling that she was trying not to grin - sparkly eyes and lips a bit tight together!

Don't worry about the scanning probs, etc., just ask away. I've been helping people get their scanning sorted for years. It started with Wiggy when she first started putting up photos for us to restore. I stayed up nearly all night getting her sorted but she's  pretty good at it these days. She's a restorer now

Wow! thanks Andy - you can certainly see the difference in the finish when using the better quality image.

I think the black dress suits her well - this is turning into another fantastic collection.

Not able to get onto my 'colouring' computer at the moment but tried this tea rose/cerulean tint to give her more warmth.
