Hello all

Could anyone please help me find the marriage year of John Noble born 1780 in Thurstonland Kirkburton area to Lydia (cannot find her maiden name) born 1786 in Thurstonland. John died in 1857 and is buried at All Hallows Parish Church Kirkburton.  Lydia died in 1860 but cannot find her burial.

On the 1841 and 1851 Census he is listed as a Farmer living at Marsh Hall with his wife Lydia and family.

I am drawing a blank on Lydia's maiden name and their year of marriage.

If anyone could help, I would be very grateful.

Thank you very much in anticipation.

Regards.

Liz

The couple were married by Banns - and with the consent of parents (so at least one was under 21).

John's surname is shown as Nobles on both Ancestry and FindMyPast -- the actual image is on Ancestry under West Yorkshire Marriages. A witness was Abraham Lockwood -- no doubt a relative of Lydia (maybe even her father).
West Yorks; ---- Illingworth, Marshall, Muffit/Muffett/Murfitt, Barber, Sanderson, Townend, Barraclough, Lister -- and lots more. Locations mainly in Birstall parish - Hartshead-- Drighlington --Adwalton --Mirfield - Heckmondwike --Kippax - Sherburn in Elmet.

Ireland ------Cleary, Whelan - Nenagh.
Dowling - Monasterevin
Daly - Westmeath

Lancashire ---- Smith from Alston , Johnson and Fairclough---- Tarleton and loads more from Tarleton and Accrington areas.

Hello all

Thank you for your help. There seem to have been several marriages between a John Noble and a Lydia ? over the years.

I have also been given a marriage in 1808 between John Noble and Lydia Marshall at All Hallows Parish Church Kirkburton.  They were both baptized there but only John was buried there.  It seems that this Lydia was buried at Christ Church New Mills in 1860.

Thank you very much I appreciate your help.

Regards.
