Tennis Group - Australia c.1909 Tidy up please.

Would appreciate a tidy up and stain removal of this tennis group, another from the family
album with unknown subjects.  Photo taken in Aust. possibly around 1909-10.  Seven different
hats on the men and 3 pipe smokers.  Wonder how the lady in the front row managed to play
tennis with that hat!   I like the sepia tone this photo has if that could be retained please.

Interesting photo Jen.   

My grandfather who died early in 1920s dreamt of starting a tennis school and had everything ready to do so when he became sick.  Now I can see just the sort of clothes they would have been wearing at the time he was playing and setting up his dream.

Where in Aus was this taken?  Love the women's hats.

Thankyou for your expertise on this tennis group Carol, you have achieved lovely depth and clarity,
especially on their faces.  The fashions are wonderful aren't they?  An amazing array of hats on
the players especially the men and not many of them very practical for the Aust. sun. 


Mike, glad you like the photo, thankyou for your restoration, it is a great improvement on the
original, very sharp.

Thankyou for your clean-up Pat, the dresses are lovely and such tiny waistlines!  They don't look
very happy in spite of their finery

Hi Wiggy,   A note on the back of the photo says "Wingham tennis club".  Google indicates that
                Wingham, named after Wingham in Kent UK, is located on mid north coast of NSW,
                335K (208 miles) north of Sydney.  Population of 900 in 1909 around the time this
                photo was taken.  Some interesting facts on the area on G.
