Help please with maiden name

Thanks Gadget. That is what we thought it possibly was. Record is from Dundee and that period (1880's) is absolutely horrific to decipher.

 This is the death certificate for my 2 x Great Grandfather. His origins remain a mystery No birth for him on SP and unfortunately his marriage was before official registration. Other family members are unsure if the information on his parents is actually correct.

And no info on his father's marriage either, I presume.  I've got a few like that.  Will keep squinting at it!
