That was my thought too, after seeing Robert in the larger image. (Possibly McReadey, though, with an extra 'e'.)

I have gone back and checked the births of his numerous children and he seems to have been a bagging weaver or foundry labourer latterly. Foundry labourer would be his occupation on the death record when you see it close up.

Mother's maiden name of McReady looks a good possibility.

His father's occupation could be shoemaker (Journeyman)

Still no further forward with finding his parents in any records but will keep looking.
