BRICK WALL!  Looking for any information on Donald aka Daniel Campbell b. 1756 Argyll married Margaret aka Mary Fullarton (probably of Arran). Emigrated to North Carolina bef. 1775.  Fought with Loyalists 1776-1783 under Hector McNeil of Gigha, Fled to Jamaica(1783-1785), granted land on Prince Edward Island, Canada 1785.  May have had brothers John & William.  May have been connected to Campbells of Jamaica.

Any information appreciated.

There is no record of a Donald/Daniel married to a Fullarton including spelling variations in Scotland.  There are 16 Donald's born in Argyll 1754-1759 and probably twice as many unrecorded or lost.  There are no records for a Daniel.

Are you sure they were married in Scotland and not in the America's and did you search the PARO archives of PEI?
