My Mum,born 1896,  always said she had seen Buffalo Bill in Manchester, parading along Piccadilly in front of what are now gardens but in those days The royal Infirmary was there.
To remember that she would have to have been older than the" two or three"she thought she must have been.
I don`t know if he ever did visit Manchester but she had no reason to tell lies.

Maybe she remembered her family talking about it though, and got a wee bit mixed up?   I'm sure your mother wouldn't tell lies!  In our later years, my 2 older brothers and myself often had differing opinions of some of the things that happened in our childhood!   (And since I have been doing our Family History, I've had to wave various official documents such as BMD's, census etc., at them to prove my point!!  ;D ;D

Added - Here you go Viktoria - Salford - Greater Manchester.  ✅✅

I wonder if the show ,with Indians etc arrived at what was London Rd Station ,now M/C Piccadilly.
They could have passed along Piccadilly to get to Salford.
Victoria station is so near Salford, and seems more likely but of course it depends on where the Wild West show had come from.
Just under the bridge along from Victoria and Salford begins.
The 1907return visit seems possible, so mum would have been 11 then.
I wonder where I have got 2-3 from?
Thank you very much.    Viktoria.

Many years ago when I lived in Porthdafarch Rd Holyhead my grandfather pointed to a field where he said he saw Buffalo Bill's Show.  The location as far as I can remember, was about 3-400 metres on the Holyhead side of the 4 houses near Carreg Y Bwgan. (I lived in one of them at the time). I think a new housing estate now covers the site.

Was Buffalo Bill not William F,Cody?
He played no small part in the near extermination  of the plains Bison.
                                                                Viktoria.

.0016% in his two years, quite a small part  ;) You'd need 7000 Buffalo Bills to produce the effect they had.

This describes one of the acts in the show on his last visit to North Wales
https://newspapers.library.wales/view/3168012/3168018/29/%22buffalo%20bill%22

A cowboy, named Garter, rides a bike down a slope at 85 mph, about 45 foot from the floor and at the bottom leaps into the air and lands on the stage, clearing a gap of 38 foot.

Have found 2 snippets (minimal info) in the newspapers at BNA (both in Welsh) of the Caergybi visit.

One of those snippets referred to in previous post can be found on Welshnewspapers
https://newspapers.library.wales/view/3458295/3458303/109/%22buffalo%20bill%22%20%20AND%20caergybi

The snippet at BNA (Y Genedl Gymreig, 10 May1904) confirms the show was performed on Tuesday 4th.
