I now see that the Baldwin Walter Howe marriage to Mary Yates was Sep qtr 1842 Medway, so postdated Sarah’s birth by quite a distance.

So perhaps she was born to one or other of them before the marriage?

Baldwin Walter Howe was 18 in 1841 and living with his parents. So unlikely the parent of Sarah A How if the 1851 census age of 15 years is accurate then born approximately 1836 ...... Alison

Martha Howe nee Yates was 52 in 1871 so born abt 1819 - could have had a premarital child in her teens?

Now I am confused
Baldwin Walter Howe 1822 - died before 1861
Martha Yates 1819 - 1905
Looking for Sarah A How possible birth year 1836 as she was 15 in 1851 census so don't think Baldwin and Martha are the parents

An update on Baldwin Walter Howe who we thought had died as Martha indicated in 1861 and 1871 that she was a widow, although have not found a death record
Just recently a DNA link to a Howe in Wolverhampton started detailed and interesting research
Have found Baldwin Walter Howe had abandoned wife and children and started another family in Staffordshire which I have now followed and linked to the DNA person
Although I still have not found death or burial record for Baldwin Walter Howe - his son Frank says that father deceased at time of Frank's 1894 marriage so that narrows the gap to 1865 - 1894

You mention Frank's marriage in 1894, however this report in the Maidstone Telegraph 16 June 1866 states Frank Charles Howe died in 1866.
Robbins - Wolverhampton.
Spooner - Monmouthshire & Wolverhampton.
Warner & Loundes - Dudley/West Bromwich.

That son is from his first marriage
There is another Frank Howe born abt 1865 (no birth record found as yet) who married 1894 and the only name is Frank - most unusual as suspect he has two names, might be ???? Frank Howe, but known as Frank
