Just had a look and I was wrong - there are not one but two people named Alice Gupwell born in Crick at the right sort of time, according to the 1891 census when they are both aged 12.

Alice E Gupwell dau of Richard & Mary A is the right one I think, who became Alice E Hogan.

Alice Gupwell dau of Joseph & Sarah is the other one.

Hello, been away so am catching up !  Am I right in thinking that  Alice E Gupwell was born to Mary
