I had Robert marrying Mary Vance in 1873. The records show George Gilfillan, his father, marrying Sarah Vance? So that would mean Mary was a relative? Does anyone have similar info?

Thanks for the links, they've been great.

I am having  a hard time. Robert Gilfillan married Mary Vance. The church records indicate that his father is George Gilfillan. My other research has an Alexander Gilfillan with eight or nine children, one being Robert. Alexander, his family and Robert and his wife, Mary  are listed in the 1880 census in Philadelphia.
