Crilly's from County Tyrone
« on: Monday 12 March 18 01:15 GMT (UK) »
Greetings,

Looking for some information, my father's mothers maiden name was Crilly.
My father gave me the middle name Crilly after his grandfather David Crilly who came over from Tyrone to Glasgow.

Yes, we really need an idea of date. There are 9 birth registrations for a David Crilly- 6 in Belfast district, 1 in Downpatrick district and 2 in Newry district.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

A rough guess I'd say around 1900 but this is only a guess without consulting my father.

There are a few David Crillys born around 1900 but none in County Tyrone.

Did your David Crilly marry and/or die in Scotland? If so, the certificates should list names of both parents which will help find family details in Irish records.

Perhaps your father will have more information?
