Gunters of Llangynidr
« on: Tuesday 13 March 18 07:59 GMT (UK) »
I'd be grateful if someone could assist with this query.  It regards the Gunters of Llangynidr. Unless, I have missed something the Findmypast website is missing part of the parish registers.  Findmypast has ‘Breconshire marriages’, but there is a gap between 1 February 1836 and 30 October 1837 for Llangynidr.  I've been told that William Gunter married a Jane Edwards on 22 May 1836.  Can anybody confirm this and let me know what other genealogical information appears on the record?  Many thanks.

His wife is Mary on 1841 census - children to the marriage have mmn Edwards. Oldest b 1837, again fitting the  marriage

Where did that come from? The information given to you is either wrong, or she was also known as Jane. As Mabel said, according to the 1841 census she was Mary.
