No need to feel silly, sometimes these search engines are better with less information especially when you have more unusual names.

Found this very interesting.Seems the effects were left to two of his sons. Would his wife Louisa have stayed on at the farm? She died in 1930.

They were the executors of the will, not necessarily the benefactors  ;)

Thanks once again for clearing things up.

I would probably get my ancestors on Ancestry (Free at library) but the computers at my local library have been down for a while now.
