She married in Wandsworth to a Thomas Spooner.in 1947.Looking to find out who her parents were.Thomas came from Stoke on Trent so no idea what he was doing in London. Maybe he was in the army. Can't help re. the marriage but Thomas and Emma lived at 182 Trinity Road, Wandsworth from their marriage until 1960 per electoral rolls.

I note from indexes that possible children married in Dunstable, Bedfordshire and wondered if the family moved there after 1960.

A Thomas Spooner b.29/1/1922, died Mar.1981 Luton
An Emma Spooner b.8/3/1924, died Jul.1990 Luton

Possibilities?

Could this be Emma's birth? -

Emma F Taylor
Mother's maiden name - Cowell
q1 1924, Holborn, London
Vol 1b Page 913

Do you know if Emma had any siblings, which could help to clarify the above birth by the mmn?

There is also this one - nearer to Battersea and right side of the river

Births Sep 1922
Taylor    Emma P    Gower
St.Olave    1c   280

Really the best way to be sure would be to get the marriage certificate

Marriages Mar 1947
Spooner    Thomas    Taylor
Taylor    Emma    Spooner
 Wandsworth    5d   1712

Ignore the St Olave birth, I've just found her death in 1924.
