Trying to find out about ancestor James Robertson. Family hearsay is he was born in Auchtergaven about 1779. I have confirmation of his marriage to Maidline (Magdalene) Walker born 29 Mar 1783 Rhynd, Perth. They married 4 Jan 1807 in Kinnoul. James worked as a house servant on the estate at Bandirran. Their children were all born there. David Robertson born 1 Jul 1808 died young but have found no record. John Robertson born 5 Sep 1810; James Robertson born 25 July 1812; Margaret Robertson born 7 Aug 1814, she married William Lamont 24 Nov 1834. I have found some of their children in New Brunswick, Canada. Henry Robertson, my gg grandfather born 5 Aug 1816. He married twice first to Elizabeth Powrie 18 May 1834 in Kettins. They had two children James and Ann both who came to Canada. His second wife was MaryRoy. They were married 14 March 1840 in Coupar Angus. They came to Canada between 1841 - 1843. William Robertson born 12 May 1818 Collace. David Robertson born 13 Jan 1821 in Collace and finally Adam Drummond Robertson born 6 Nov 1823 in Collace. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
