Much appreciated Cando.

I am curious as to how one finds the surname in the first instance?

I have never tried just using the first name and parents names to find a married woman which seems to be how to find the person under their married name?

Is this the process you would use on QLD BMD?

Yes Westy, that's what I do. Works for NSW and VIC searches, also.

Well I cannot see a how one would search the Victorian Death Index using a first name and parents' names.  Perhaps I am missing something.

Using the Braun from Cheran’s post as an example. Put Louise as the given name and click on ‘show more options’. You can type as much as you like. If you use only the mother’s maiden name ‘ Slow’, you get birth and death of Louise/a.
