Ancestry messages folders empty - RESOLVED
« on: Thursday 15 March 18 15:23 GMT (UK) »
I'm hoping this is just a temporary aberration, just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same. I was about to get stuck in to my messages in Ancestry (co.uk) only to find that all my "folders" are empty.  ???

Anyone else?
Houghton - Lancashire, inc. Manchester
Robertson - Angus
Collinge - Yorkshire, Lancashire, USA
Nedderman - Lancashire
Lane/Fryer - Kent

Yes - not the first time strange things have happened at Ancestry, and I doubt it will be the last.
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

I was about to say it was working here too, but it seems to have stopped again.

I received a new message in my folder today saying 'Welcome to Ancestry' - it must have been very badly delayed as I've been with them for 5 years!

Same here! and just tried it again and it hasn't righted itself yet.

I'm glad I noticed this thread because i thought it was me - only recently joined Ancestry and having a hell of a job navigating its whys and wherefores! Why make it simple when you can complicate things unnecessarily!  :-X

Has it gone funny again? I have 4 messages but can't get at them - keep getting an Oop! message which I find very annoying as I may be in the midst of a major breakthrough!!.

get your act together, Ancestry!  >:(

Mine seems OK, but I've only just seen your message, nearly 2 hours since you wrote it, so maybe something has changed in the meantime.
