Sister Ellen Russon marries a Jobin in Leicester 1914 - 7a 695

The Canadian Attestation Papers for the guy in reply 3 shows next of kin as Nellie Jobin. (sister) Leicester England.  So this does look like your Arthur (the date of birth was slightly out -23/12/1894) Gives himself a middle name Patrick. Address on page 5 was River desert PO. Quebec. Enlisted Ottawa.

Yes that is them.  The family did end up in Leicester.  Emma died in 1912

Page 10 gives sisters address as 4 Cypress Cottages. Dover Street Leicester.

Catherine "Katie" Hardgrove - 9 May 1902  -  Maniwaki, Gatineau, Quebec.
Couple had 3 sons and a daughter.

Marriage listed in the Quebec, Canada, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1968

Alfred passed away 28 February 1975 - Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario.
Catherine passed away  30 November1953 - Sault Sainte Marie, Algoma, Ontario.

More good new - there is an ancestry tree with photographs - they do give the wrong date and place of birth (and parents)  but everything else tallies.
