Samuel Vinnicombe 1745
« on: Thursday 15 March 18 19:54 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help me with finding the parents and siblings of Samuel. I believe that he was born around 1745 in Exeter. He married Mary Pewtner in Exeter on 20/01/1776. He died on 20/07/1784. I can only find one child born to Samuel and Mary, a son, John Pewtner Vinnicombe. He was born in Exeter in 1779.
Any leads to help would be marvellous and I would be most grateful.

Hello
Not got a definite and not found any more children for Samuel..
Here's the possibles-
Samuel Vinnycomb 28 Dec 1738 s of Samuel at Wolborough and Newton abbot
Samuel Vinnicombe 23 Dec 1738 s of John and Jane at Hittisleigh
Samuell Vinicomb 21 Apr 1741 s of Benjamin and Elizabeth at Holcombe Burnell
Samuel Vinnicombe 16 May 1755 s of Thomas and Anne at Ashton but he died the same year.

Mary Pewtner was baptised at St Thomas Exeter 28 Dec 1747 to John and Elizabeth so her child John was named after his maternal grandfather so no help there.

I did spot a possible at Exeter St Thomas but it is really early.
Samuel 8.2.1731 s of John  Pincombe

Siblings Elizabeth 13.10.1728 and Sarah 29 May 1740 at Exeter St Thomas

Siblings for Holcombe Burnell- children of  Benjamin and Elizabeth nee Lee married 20 May 1740 HB.
Benjamin 25.9.1743,Edward 24 Apr 1746,Elizabeth 2.8.1747,William 31.8.1749,Joseph 22.2.1751,Mary 28.2.1754 and James 19.2.1758.

I really think it's the Holcombe Burnell one as siblings Benjamin ,Edward and William seem to be at Exeter St Thomas having children at the same time.(cousins Richard and John are also there).
They are on FindMyPast but the others are all on Familysearch which is free.

See what you think

Thank you for your time researching Samuel. I will spend some time looking into these leads. Mary Pewtner's family are much easier to follow!
