I am looking for information on the ancestors of Edward Guppy born16 Aug 1818, birthplace sometimes Halstock, sometimes Ilminister, depends on the census used. Freereg.org has it as Dillington. His father, according Edward's marriage record states his father is John Guppy a dairyman. I believe he married Susan Purchase in 1815. I would like to find out more about John Guppy, but there are so many John Guppys in Somerset. Thank you if you can help.

Yes you have the right Baptism for Edward from FreeREG, all info is correct, Father John a Dairyman, Mother Susanna.
I see he married Charlotte Bugler 1841.
