Original that you sent me was about the same, Keith. 

I reduced it to 1000pix wide and it's a bit better.

Hi Gadget - I've double-checked & in fact the original image sent was a pdf which I converted to jpeg - would that make any difference?

This is as far as I've got with the one you sent- work in progress.

I could put up the cropped version of the one you sent if you like or you could send me the pdf and I'll convert and put it up

PS - I had to redo her right eye completely!

Here's the pdf  version. I've converted it and had to make it smaller as it was over the 500kb limit. I've not compressed.

Anyone who wants the larger one or the original pdf, PM me.

It still looks very blocky (high compression), Keith.  I think the original, before it was inserted into the pdf file with the newspaper clip  was suspect.

Yes Gadget it looks no better than the jpeg version - especially bad on her eyes & mouth - what a shame.

Well, Keith, after the saga of the pdfs and dropboxes, etc. I've managed to finish the cleaning, etc. and I've done some colouring but only as a small image. The pixellation was very bad - not the worst that I've seen but not good.

I'm putting them up separately as they're too big to go on a single post.

Added - Her dress was probably white or slightly off white but i've made it cream in both versions  as it looked a bit strange just pure white!
