Help identifying uniform
« on: Saturday 17 March 18 21:06 GMT (UK) »
I'm aware you have to apply to mod for ww2 records but before I do so just wondered if anyone can identify the Mans uniform and possible regiment InThe attached pic. His name was George henry bishop b 1915 and h survived the war. I believe this pic was taken 1940. Many thanks in advance

Apart from the fact that it is an army uniform rather than RN or RAF, there are no clues - no cap badge, no regiment title on the top of the shoulder or the epaulettes.  The lanyard was worn by a number of regiments.  You probably know you don't need his regiment to apply for his records.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
