Does not appear to have been baptised - GRO index shows he was illegitimate.

Yes, he seems to be illegitimate. I hoped his baptism would show his mother and residence as I have been unable to find him elsewhere. I would appreciate it if anyone could find him anywhere. :)

You will need to purchase his birth cert to find out his mother and other info.

You can get a PDF from the GRO for just £6 (rather than the usual £9-25 for an actual cert)

Have you not found him on any censuses?

No, not on any census or marriage or death registration. Elen is often transcribed as Glen, Clen, Elan or Elin amongst other things, so I might have missed him. All I know for sure is that he was in Marylebone in 1875!

Thanks, I mean what is the link to him?  Or is he just a random name you are trying to find a link with?

Hi Milliepede, the Elen surname is not very common and most of the Elen births around then are relations of mine, so I was curious whether he might be related too :)
