Part 2
Jane Stone, we know, does not leave the UK until after 1871 as her and her son John are still living at Forge Street, Llanelly
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:V55S-VSW . There is no sign of a John Thomas, who she later marries, and associated children. Therefore, it looks like she did not meet John until after 1871 possibly in Llanelly or possibly not until she emigrated to the US. Unlike her first husband Henry Michael she seems to end up in Ohio rather than Utah.
That her son John emigrated is confirmed by his death entry
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-DC67-7P8?i=1343&cc=1307272where his father is listed as Henry Michael and mother as “unknown’ Stone. His birth year is given as 1866, but should be 1864.
A Jane Stone (presume is her) had a son Thomas with John C. Thomas on 03 Sep 1875 in Ohio
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9R23-97YW?i=154&cc=1932106 . Presumably he dies young as there is another Thomas Thomas born to them on 17 feb 1877
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XXCS-GMP?from=lynx1&treeref=KCFM-QVN Plus a Lizzie Thomas
Name: Lizzie Thomas
Gender: Female
Race: White
Birth Date: 8 Oct 1878
Birth Place: Coal, Perry, Ohio
Father: John Thomas
Mother: Jane Stone
Other have attributed this 1900 census entry as Jane and Thomas
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-6SG3-BFM?i=20&cc=1325221 however I think this is wrong, not least of which is the fact is that if states Jane Emigrated in 1859, whereas it was after 1871. This is the more likely entry as found by RayDen
1900 census Still in Trimble Ohio, shows:
Household Members:
Name Age
Jane Thomas 57 Born Wales, divorced
Alvira Thomas 18 Born Ohio, Daughter
Harriett Lawrence 26 Born Wales, daughter, divorced
Velma Lawrence 6 born Ohio, granddaughter
Shows Jane emigrating 1874, 10 children, 5 still alive
Her emigrating in 1874 ties in with the fact we know she was still living in Wales in 1871.
This also seems to be her in 1910
The findagrave entry for Mary Ann Michael who married Hatch she has a sibling Mary Thomas Zimmer, and there is a 1910 census in Trimble Athens Ohio which has the following:
Household Members:
Name Age
Jane Thomas 68 Born Wales, Widow
Robert Zimmer 17 Born Ohio, Grandson
Thelma Lawrence 15 Born Ohio, Granddaughter (Thelma = Velma in 1900?)
John Smith 60 Born England, Boarder
The record shows Jane arriving US 1874, having 10 children of only 2 still alive
2 alive corresponds with the below death entry for her. Amazingly the 2 children alive look to be those from her marriage to Henry Michael.

David Thomas 13 Born Wales
William Thomas 11 Born Wales
Harriet Thomas 8 Born Wales
Mary Thomas 5 Born Ohio 1875 - 1 year after the 1874 immigration
Thomas Thomas 3 Born Ohio
This fits reasonably well. Though there is no mention of Jane’s son John Michael, though he could be the John “Thomas” age 16 mentioned above. David and William I don’t think are her children as they are born pre 1871 and there is no mention of them being with her in the 1871 UK census. Therefore, I think these are from a previous marriage of John Thomas. Harriet (born 1872) maybe hers and could be the Harriett Lawrence (born 1874), living with Jane, as daughter in the 1874 census. Mary Thomas (1875) and Thomas (1877) are most likely her’s and Thomas therefore is probably the second Thomas Thomas mentioned previously. Though Mary Thomas born 1875 clashes with the first Thomas Thomas of Jane’s born 03 Sep 1875, though Mary could have actually been born 1874.
Therefore of her 10 children we have possibly accounted for 6: Mary Ann Michael (1862, Wales), John Michael (1864, Wales), Hannah Michael (1866, Wales), Mary Thomas (1875), Thomas Thomas (1875) and Thomas Thomas (1877).
