@ Islay, there's a hill called Drum Glas between the Old & the New Belsgrove mines in Strontian.

Skoosh.

Skoosh, how interesting. It may explain the address of Glasbhil as Glas hill. Suddenly history seems so real! Thank you, Islay.

Further research, Skoosh, shows that in the early 1800s, Glas...(various other letters) was owned, or at least worked, by a family called Cameron! How interesting for me. Thank you. Islay

Sounds like it Islay, isolated houses were often called after nearby hill or burn. I think it's Clash Gorm you're after, here's a couple of links for you,

Islay how sure are you that this is your family on the 1841 Census ? ..Where do you fit in with the family of John and Agnes ?

Hallo Rosie,
Thank you for your interest. Are you in doubt about this family? Have I gone wrong somewhere? It is quite possible!

The link with me is that my mother lived with her grandparents in Ayr as a child, and her grandmother, my g.grandmother, was the daughter of John and Agnes. They are certainly the family living in Auchinlech, in the 1881 census, and also on the 1871 census, where John is an iron miner, and I used the other names on the 1871 census to see the names of John's brothers Ewen and Alex, their place of birth, and I can only find one family in Morven whose names and dates and occupation seem to fit.
What a great mystery this family history is! Any help would be hratefully appreciated, best wishes, Islay

Hi Islay ...The reason I asked was this the right family was because you don't have any certificates to prove who the parents were of John Cameron ...Just wondered as there seems to be a lot of Cameron's in that area ...I see you have been searching on this family for some time now from previous posts I don't doubt this is your John on the 1881---1861 census in Auchinleck Ayrshire ..Just hard trying to find records of John and Agnes after that ....Will have another look and see if I can find anything  :)
