Francis McPhillips (known as Sandy by his family) was born on 3/4/1924 at Leith, Edinburgh. He was the son of Edward McPhillips and Agnes Small.
His plane went down somewhere in the English Chanel on 21/4/1943. Sandy's body was never recovered but he is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, Panel 158. Sandy, my 1st cousin once removed, had just turned 19.
