The names my great uncle gave me were James, Len, Ernie, Jack and George. They would of all been born before 1907
Have you found any of them in 1911?
I've looked but can't find anything that jumps out.

Can I ask where you look that states the mothers maiden name? I've joined ancestry but that doesn't seem to give it

Yes it's on the General Register Office site.  It's free to register and search the indexes.

It’s on the General Register Office website. You do need to register to use it but you can order certificates through there. Do not order via Ancestry as they are at least twice the price and no faster.

Yeah I've seen the price on ancestry it's shocking. I looked on gro at the price for ordering but never thought to search on there! Thanks
