Charles Dinnis
« on: Monday 19 March 18 09:02 GMT (UK) »
The above baptised on 18th May 1831 at Alford, Lincolnshire is shown unmarried in Handsworth, Sheffield on the 1851 Census and by 1861 living in Chapel Street, Alford with "wife" Mary.

My question is; who was Mary? I have drawn a blank trying to find a marriage so I wonder if they did.

It seems she was born at Alford in 1834 and her death was recorded at Spilsby in 1918.

Could be, I did see this marriage but thought Dains was so far removed from Dinnis.

Thank you.

There was also a Charles DINNIS marriage at Alford, 24 Aug 1870, to Charlotte STARBUCK (wid, nee HASNIP)

EDIT: Ah, he was from Mablethorpe, and living there in 1871 (aged 29).
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.
