Elizabeth Munden/Munday?
« on: Tuesday 20 March 18 15:56 GMT (UK) »
I have spent an enjoyable afternoon adding to my tree and have got as far back as Elizabeth Munden married to Jeffery Druery/Drury 19 October 1703 in Wye Kent. I have put the alternative spellings as some of the records available are under alternative spellings. The marriage appears on ancestry and FindMyPast. I am trying to find a baptism for Elizabeth. Looking at some of the trees available they have made the leap of faith that Munden is Munday and have gone with the birth year of 1682. I know names changed over time but is this too big a leap or do you think it is the right Elizabeth?
The only one that FindMyPast is showing with tha spelling of Elizabeth Munden was baptised in Petham  in 1673. I want to make sure I’m following the correct line back.

Thanks in advance Panda

It's interesting to look at the Wye records on the Hastingleigh website

http://www.hastingleigh.com/Wye-Index.html

I think Elizabeth is the only Munden among the CMB.

Elizabeth Munday born 1682 is about the right age.

Elizabeth & Jeffrey named one of their daughters Jane, the name of Elizabeth Munday's mother.  It would have been conclusive if they had a son called Norton though. :-\

But I'm not sure it enough to be sure.

I can't see anything to help among the East Kent wills nor Wye MIs

Thanks for looking Bearkat it’s too easy to make the pieces fit these days. I think I will leave this line a while to see if anything else shoes up.
