On Ercole Lombardi's civil marriage register from 13 April 1873 in Trivigno, Potenza, Basilicata, Italy, Ercole lists his place of birth as Civitella Casanova, Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy in 1851. His 14th of March 1924 Trivigno death register lists the same.
On both of these records it lists his parents as unknown. I looked through the pages of the Civitella Casanova civil registers for 1850-1852 and cannot find an Ercole Lombardi at all.
Being that he lists his parents as unknown, I was wondering if that could mean he was an orphan. If so, does anyone know of any way to track down any orphanage paperwork or is it more likely that Ercole is going to have to be the end of the branch?
Any help tracking down any information about Ercole or his parents is greatly appreciated.
