Alexandre Barthelemy Peragallo was made Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur http://www2.culture.gouv.fr/public/mistral/leonore_fr?ACTION=RETROUVER&FIELD_1=NOM&VALUE_1=PERAGALLO&NUMBER=1&GRP=0&REQ=%28%28PERAGALLO%29%20%3aNOM%20%29&USRNAME=nobody&USRPWD=4%24%2534P&SPEC=9&SYN=1&IMLY=&MAX1=1&MAX2=1&MAX3=100&DOM=All

The Leonore site gives many very interesting infos :
He died in Plougasnou (Finistère departement) 30 july 1904, 83 years old. He had 5 children.
His personal file in the ministry gives his height : 1,70 m, was a law student before being employed, spoke italian, married Clothilde Buretey in 28/10/1850 (though Clothilde was not her first forename , she was called Clothilde , not Jeanne or Laure), he owned 2000 francs (I presume), where he worked and where he lived from 1841 to 1880 . In 1860 he had a serious accident during work.

The children stayed with her , she had to let them see grandfather peragallo every sunday from 10 am till 5 pm.

The groom was "contrôleur ambulant des contributions directes " = mobile overlooker of income taxes
in Tulle, the bride was born in Beaune daughter of Antoine Alexandre Devienne director of Income Taxes and Marguerite Monge.
Nothing but great names , two witnesses are noble (a count and a baron).
