Is this the same Abraham Heyes whose will (proved 1847) has been posted in another thread?

It is. The Will (attached to that thread) has a codicil attached dated 1849....otherwise a 1847 death for Abraham might be compelling.
(Generally, LEIGH, LANCS)

BOWDEN (Solicitors & Estate Agents)
ECKERSLEY (Cotton Spinners)
HIGENBOTTAM (Brewery)
LECOMBER (Engineer)
SHAW (Brewery)

From the will itself ...

It was written on 14 April 1840.
The codicil was added on 23 April 1845.***
The will was first proved in Chester on 10 July 1847.
The will was proved again in the PCC on 18 April 1849.

I think you can be confident that the 1847 death/burial records found above are correct.

*** ADDED - I think you may have been misled by the codicil of the preceding will in the register (for Jane Handley), part of which you included in your transcript.

Thanks to all for your help. I must admit that reading all of the evidence so far suggests a compelling case for a 1847 death and burial.
